The black cat sitting by the window quietly receives the light streaming in from outside and carries it into the room through its tail.
To me, light symbolizes hope, comfort, and the kindness that is passed from one person to another.
Just as a kind word or thoughtful gesture received from someone can be passed on to another, even the smallest light continues to spread.
Through this work, I express a wish for the light and kindness we receive to extend beyond ourselves and gently reach others.
I hope this piece offers those who encounter it a small sense of hope, comfort, and gentle light.

●Artist Introduction
While working as a pharmacist, Ran has also been active as a handmade accessory artist for over twenty years. Although she had long felt insecure about drawing, she discovered AI art in January 2025. She was deeply inspired by the ability to transform ideas into visual expression through words, which freed her from the feeling of “wanting to create but being unable to draw,” and led her to begin creating art in earnest.
She has participated in corporate collaborations utilizing AI art, providing design materials for collage artwork. Related products achieved second place in Rakuten rankings, and some items sold out completely. Today, she creates works centered on themes of hope and comfort, carefully using light and composition to create art that helps viewers feel lighter and more positive.
