●Artwork Introduction
What is light? Vermeer gave his figures presence and soul through the interplay of light and shade — the quiet darkness that defines form. This work attempts a different response to that question. To release shade is not to lose existence. On the contrary: by merging with light itself, the figure reveals more purely what shade has always partially concealed — the radiance of life, the tranquility of the soul, the blessing of simply being alive. The figure's skin is not depicted — it is felt.
Details are intentionally withheld; outlines dissolve softly into the surrounding glow. And yet, someone is undeniably there. To exist is, in itself, light. With deep respect for Vermeer's legacy, this work poses a question: when shade falls away — what remains?

●Artist Introduction
I am a Japanese female artist based in Sapporo, Hokkaido. I began creating AI art using Midjourney in 2025.
At the core of my creative work lies a quiet conviction that “beauty gives us hope, joy, and a reason to keep living.” My work is guided by two timeless themes: “love” and “blessing.”
Through each piece, I hope to convey joy and peace—that sense of “I’m glad to be alive”—to the viewer. I aspire to create works that encourage people to pause, gently turn inward, and return to their own quiet center.
